Nigerians Are Used To Suffering So Much ; They Think It's Normal– Simi

In the wake of calling for the end of police brutality in Nigeria, many celebrities have waded in the campaign against it and some have even gone as far as joining in the protests.

The hashtag #EndSARSNow has been on social media trend lists for days now, with other countries aside Nigeria seeing protests.

The latest celebrity to chip in her voice into the ongoing calls against police brutality is Nigerian singer, Simi.

In a latest post by the singer, she described the suffering in Nigeria as too much, saying they have therefore normalized the issue and seeing no problem with it.

She explained that bribery and corruption have reached its peak in the country and this is unfortunate.

She however called for unity in the fight against police brutality as the incidence is at its annoying peak.

She wrote;

“Nigerins are used to suffering now they think its normal. If you don’t have money to give to someone to get what you actually deserve, there’s actually no sign of progress. Bribe is not just bribe, its survival.

To get treatement in hospital, oga bring sometin. U enter airport, madam bring sometin. To get out of jail for a crime u didn’t commit, brother bring sometin. To get admission u already earned after passing the damn exam, sister bring sometin. A Disgrace! #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria”
