The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not likely to survive the 2024 polls should they choose any other candidate aside former president John Dramani Mahama, a member of the party’s communications team, Nasiru Mohammed has said.
According to him, it’ll be an absolute disaster the the NDC fails to field Mr Mahama who is already established and well marketed to lead them to victory.
He noted that the 2024 polls is a do or die affair for the NDC and even if Mr Mahama is not interested in leading the party, they’ll plead with him to change his mind.
“Going into 2024 without John Mahama is a disaster because every party wants a candidate who has been marketed well and he’s popular. The candidate must be well known. We are going to do marketing and instead of going with a candidate who is known, you are going to look for a new one; How?” he queried.
