A deadly crash on Interstate 20 in Richland County claimed the life of Lashawnda Brown late Tuesday night.
The incident, which occurred around 11:20 p.m., involved a single car.
South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the car was traveling south on Highway 277.
It veered off the road, crossed all three westbound lanes of I-20, and hit the median barrier.
One passenger, identified as Lashawnda Brown, died at the scene.
Two other occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to Prisma Health Richland for treatment.
A fourth person in the car escaped without serious harm.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the collision.
