The Mobile Police Department (MPD) has identified the victim and three suspects involved in a fatal shooting that occurred on Chin Street on Sunday.
44-Year-Old Woman Fatally Shot After Altercation
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Chin Street and found 44-year-old Khaliaka Meardry suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway into Deadly Encounter
MPD detectives determined through their preliminary investigation that Meardry was involved in a verbal altercation with three other women. The situation escalated, leading to the women allegedly assaulting Meardry with a blunt object before shooting her.
Suspects Identified, Charges Pending
The MPD has identified the three suspects as 37-year-old Sierra Michelle Giles, 32-year-old Kendra Maria Nettles, and 35-year-old Terrilyn Malaysia Williams. Charges are pending further investigation.
Giles, Nettles and Williams have been arrested and charged with murder. They are currently being held at the Mobile County Jail.
