A woman identified as Carri Gorrell is dead after a man allegedly shot and killed his wife at a home in Brandon Saturday.
According to Brandon Police, officers responded to the scene around 9 a.m. regarding an “accidental death” at 26 Rockford Court in the Crossgates subdivision.
When officers arrived at the scene, Brandon Police said they became suspicious about the actual cause of death.
Investigators then determined the victim, Carri Gorrell appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.
Her husband, Tyler Gorrell, 35, has been arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and murder.
Gorrell could face additional charges after further investigation.

From June 2009 to August 2014, she was a Walmart custom service manager.
