Kenneth Mosby, a 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the shooting of a 9-month-old girl that left her critically wounded.
The incident occurred at a McDonald’s on the city’s South Side.
Kenneth Mosby, of the 8800 block of South Burley Avenue, has been charged with one felony count of attempted first-degree murder and one felony count of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm.
Shooting Details
The shooting took place just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday when the mother of the infant went into a McDonald’s at 70 E. Garfield Blvd. and left the child in the car with her boyfriend.
Upon returning to her car, the mother noticed blood coming from the baby’s nose but attributed it to a cold.
However, upon further inspection, the woman discovered that the baby was bleeding profusely from gunshot wounds.
She immediately drove the child to Comer Children’s Hospital, where the infant was listed in critical condition.
