Yesterday, the opposition National Democratic Congress released a statement to react to some ‘denigrating’ comments made by one of its members.
Stephen Atubuga, an empathizer, and activist for the opposition National Democratic Congress was hit with bad news after he was suspended from the party.
The Executive Committee of the party suspended him after his meeting to defend his comments. It is obvious that his actions were unjustifiable and triggered the party to suspend him.
This follows after the Central Regional Chairman, Allotey Jacobs was suspended.
Stephen Atubiga speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show in the late hours of yesterday, he bemoaned the failure of the party to welcome his plead during the meeting.
He mounted a strong defense over his criticisms against the party’s 2020 election campaign manager, Joshua Alabi. “He is incompetent and it is clear.
He failed to perform his task and made the party lost in the election. He is not a party official but an ordinary member like me.”
Speaking further, he blamed John Mahama’s defeat in the 2020 presidential elections on the betrayal by his office. He argues that, the office of the party leader failed him.
“I cannot keep quite now. I will definitely meet John Mahama. I will tell him that his office has failed him. The people in his office has failed him. They made him lost the election. You cannot win an election when your secretariat and campaign manager are not coordinating with your party. I know what it takes to become a President.”
