I Invited Maccasio To My Peace Concert But He Didn't Show Up - Fancy Gadam

Award winning Ghanaian musician, Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known in showbiz as Fancy Gadam has opened up on why colleague musician Maccasio failed to make an appearance at his Peace Concert which he organized at Tamale and has said that he invited him but he didn’t show up.

Fancy Gadam revealed this to Sammy Flex on the Showbiz Agenda program on Zylofon Fm on Tuesday.

The Peace concert organized by Fancy Gadam and his management at the Gbewaa Palace was a conscious effort aimed at fostering the peace and unity which has been established between the Yakubus and the Andanis of the Dagbon Kingdom through music. The two groups who have been at each other’s necks for a long period of time smoked the peace pipe and enskinned a new Ya-Na, Overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom early this year. Fancy Gadam therefore invited traditional leaders and the two fraternities to the concert.

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the Tamale based musician told Sammy Flex that after he put everything in place and posted fliers of the show on social media, a large number of people kept asking why Maccasio, a notable rival colleague  of his was not billed to perform if he indeed is preaching peace. To set the record straight, he reached out to Maccasio’s management and sent them an invitation 4 days prior to the concert but they didn’t show up. “I took their email and sent them a letter about four days to the event and I never heard anything from his camp.”

In response to whether his rivalry with Maccasio is still going on, the Total Cheat hit maker said to him, he has nothing against Maccasio because he wouldn’t have reached out if he did. “To me, I won’t say we are beefing because I tried to reach out and they never got back to me. I don’t know what they are thinking.”
