Award winning movie director, Frank Rajah Arase has opened up on sabotaging actors Eddie Nartey and Ekow Smith Asante’s careers during their early days as actors.

According to the movie director, he sometimes blames himself for depriving the two the opportunity to go further in their careers as actors.

Eddie Nartey and Ekow Smith Asante have been at this acting game for God knows how long, featuring in award-winning movies both in Ghana and Nigeria. Quite recently, we’ve seen actor Eddie Nartey take on movie production and directing, producing and directing equally good movies.

In a video sited by ghlinks.com.gh which was an interview with Joy News’ Mzgee, Frank Rajah Arase said he was misinformed during his early days as a movie director and acted rather childish when he decided to overlook the two when it came to movie roles. He added that he in turn gave other actors such as John Dumelo and Majid Michel the chance to shine. He admitted his mistake and said he regrets his actions, saying he could have investigated to know ascertain the facts before concluding. He further said that he sometimes feels the two could have reached higher heights if not for his actions some years ago.

On his official Instagram page, Eddie Nartey acknowledged the director’s bravery to open up even after years and said he also wondered why he went through all that during his early days but thanks God that he has been able to push though with hard work.

“for those of you who keep bombarding me with a lot of questions about what I did to Frank Rajah following his confession at the past Golden Movie Awards, I’m as clueless as you perhaps this video will give you answers.

I admire his guts to have made those allegations on that platform. For me he mentioned it sometime ago when I invited him over to Zylofon Arts Club to speak with my students. That day, I cried, I was devastated, I could not sleep. I asked a thousand questions what I have don’t to him but no answer. I thank God that like a tuff seed, I grew.

I will forever love and respect Frank. I have learnt a lot from him as an actor and director. I’ve forgiven him already that is if there is any. I know there are a lot of people who still despise me in this game just because of the falsehood, untrue, cooked stories others have told about me. But hey, man proposes, God opposes.”
