Award-winning gospel musician Joe Mettle has advised the youth to desist themselves from indulging themselves in political violence ahead of the upcoming general elections.

In an interview on Accra based Hitz fm on Tuesday, the gospel musician cautioned the youth not to allow politicians to influence then into political violence.

Joe Mettle‘s comments comes a few days after some NPP and NDC supporters in the Odododiodio constituency in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana engaged in a rather ghastly clash which left some people injured.

In his comments to the youth, he noted that political violence and unrest has led Nigeria into a terrible state with people loosing their live. He added that we as a country are not far from political unrest and should be cautious about some little things that can cause such situations.

Aren’t we seeing what is happening around us (in Nigeria) and we are also following suit? 

“we shouldn’t ignore some of them. Ghana is ours, if we destroy it we will have nowhere else to go”,  he said.
