Golden State Warriors assistant coach and former Serbian basketball star Dejan Milojevic has died at age 46 after suffering a heart attack in Salt Lake City.
Milojevic was hospitalized Tuesday after suffering a sudden and serious health issue at Valter’s Osteria, a popular Italian restaurant frequented by visiting NBA players and coaches.
The 6-foot-7 retired power forward leaves behind a wife Natasa and two children.

About Milojevic
In 2021, Serbian coach Milojevic, then 46, joined the Warriors coaching staff.
During his 15-year professional career, he played in Serbia, Spain, Montenegro, and Turkey.
He later joined Steve Kerr’s staff, having previously coached Mega Vizura in Serbia and Buducnost in Montenegro, where he won the Montenegrin League Championship.
Milojevic became only the second Serbian assistant coach to win an NBA championship in the 2022-23 season.
Igor Kokoskov was the first Serbian assistant coach to win an NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004.
He served as Kokoskov assistant for the Serbia national team between 2019-2021.
When he played the sport, Milojevic played at power forward and became Serbia’s basketball legend. He won three Adriatic League MVP titles.
