Zylofon tv and Zylofon Fm, subsidiaries of Zylofon Media are from 30th January, 2019 seizing operations as media houses.
This comes after the Economic and Organised Crime Office froze all operations and assets of the company and its Chief Executive Officer, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM 1.
NAM 1 has been in the news for a long time now, following his issues with bank of Ghana accused him of shady dealings with his Gold Firm, Menzgold Ghana. This caused series of demonstrations among investors of Menzgold Ghana with many calling for the head of the young CEO.
In a statement from the Economic and Organised Crime Office and signed by Jacqueline Avotri, Head of Public Affairs for the Executive Director of EOCO, properties belonging to business mogul, Nana Appiah Mensah has been frozen and seized.
His properties, including Menzgold Ghana Limited, Menzgold Office complex, Zylofon Art Complex, Drew Marketing Consult, Star Madrid Football Club, Zylofon Music and Media Company Limited, Brew Energy Company Limited, G – Tech Automobile Services, two properties located at Trassaco Valley that is plot 315 and 317,plot of land (no. 54) near Oak Street, Trassaco Valley, Uncompleted residence, and 510 Acres of land have been seized and ordered to be handed over to government effective 30th of January, 2019. EOCO further ordered for the public to help in the investigation of the issue to ensure that justice takes its course.
In response to this statement released by EOCO, the Communications Manager of Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah also in a press release has informed the general public that Zylofon media will from 30th of January, 2019 seize transmission till the issue with EOCO is resolved. He thanked the general public for their 13 months of continuous support and assured that Zylofon Media will bounce back stronger in a short while.
