Mr. Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo has constantly stated for months now that the once vibrant Kumawood Movie is going down because he was sidelined by the producers.
At a point in time, the Ghana movie industry was completely dead and the country was flooded with Nigerian movies. It took the intervention of the Kumasi made movies popular known as Kumawood lead by Agya Koo and other actors/actresses to salvage the situation.
It completely revied the industry all over the country but after a while, Agya Koo the once talented actor went missing. The producers explained Agya Koo had become too expensive, arrogant and authoritative.
But Agya Koo has explained that he was sidelined when he refused to act n*de in one of his popular movies titled “Okomfo Anokye”. He has since then been explaining that he is the savior of the industry and Kumawood is dying because he was kicked out.
Well, after months of going about with this statement, veteran Kumawood actor, Akwesi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto has replied Agya Koo.
According to him, no one person can reign in an industry forever; He has done his part so he should accept and let others do what they can.
He described the consistent “I am Kumawood savior” comment from his colleague actor as arrogant and advised Agya Koo to accept his time has passed.
“Look, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion whether it’s valid or invalid. I don’t agree with Agya Koo although that’s his candid opinion.”
“In life, nobody can reign forever for everything is time bound. So, when your time is past, you’ve to understand and pave way for others to reign”, Akrobeto added.
