The Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency and a spokesperson for the 2nd Respondent’s legal team, Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah made a bold declaration concerning the argument in Court.

According to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the basis on which the Petitioner seeks to reopen his case is unfounded.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show hosted by Osei Bonsu, he jumped to the defense of Akoto Ampaw who cited several precedent cases to dismiss the motion.

He argue that he is optimistic that the ruling will be positive to the course of the Respondents.

“Mahama cannot insist that he is surprised Jean Mensah is not testifying because we even opposed the petition at the initial stage. You cannot say that; The law doesn’t care. We will still continue to object this application. It is clear that, he has no case but just wants to grill Jean Mensah. He wouldn’t close his case and later come back.”
