The 2019 edition of one of Ghana’s most highly anticipated fashion shows, Rhythms On Da Runway is set to come off on the 31st of August, 2019 at the Osu Castle in Accra.
The 2019 edition has been tagged as the Year Of Return edition and will be in celebration of the year of return as declared by the president, Nana Akuffo Addo in Washington DC in September 2018.
The official launching ceremony was held at the African Reagent Reagent Hotel in Accra on Thursday and was attended by high profile entertainment figures such as Jon Germain, Elikem The Tailor, Coded of 4×4 fame and a host of many other greats. There were also spectacular performances from Cece Twum, Dark Suburb, and many others.
In an official statement, CEO and mastermind behind Rhythms On Da Runway, celebrated broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) said this year’s edition is in collaboration with the presidency and the Ministry Of Tourism, Arts and Culture and will be part of celebrations for year of return which is already seeing huge support from the black community in the diaspora.

He added that the show will be a mix of fashion and music made in Ghana and is set to see great fashion designers from within and outside Ghana like Mudi from Nigeria, Ophelia from Ghana, Velma from the UK, Yesu Shegun from the UK and a host of many outstanding fashion designers. Also performing on the night will be legends Pat Thomas, Obrafour, Rex Omar, and other award winning musicians like Stonebwoy, Kuame Eugene and others. There will also a comedy performance from Ghana’s finest comedian, DKB.
The event will be hosted by seasoned broadcasters Nana Aba Anamoah and Nathaniel Attoh.
