The Agent of Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Sogne Yacouba, has launched scathing attack at the club officials for the way his client has been treated at the club.
According to him, his client is still a player of Kotoko but has been treated almost as an outcast since he decided to leave the club after they got knocked out of the 2018/19 CAF Confederations Cup.
Days after their 2-1 loss to Zesco United of Zambia, the result that saw them kicked out of the competition, Kotoko announced that they were in negotiations to sell the player. Yacouba has since not played for Kotoko and is yet to make an appearance in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
Yacouba’s agent, Jesse Jantuah has however rued how his client has been treated and asked Kotoko to stop creating unnecessary pressure between the player and the fans, who once adored him.
Speaking to Ash FM in Kumasi, Jantuah said,
“Kotoko management should stop creating unnecessary pressure between Songne Yacouba and the supporters because the player is still a Kotoko player”.
“The Management of Kotoko requested for the passport last week Thursday and it was given to them that same day so I don’t understand why they are saying all those things about the player”,he added.
“Songne Yacouba came to help Kotoko so we should desist from all those unnecessary confusion they are causing between Kotoko and the player.”
In the absence of Yacouba, the Kotoko fans have found a new fan’s favorite in the person of Abdul Safiu Fatawu. The striker already has 7 goals in the ongoing normalisation committee special competition.
