Afia Pokuaa has questioned why the opposition NDC and John Mahama remain quiet amid the unfortunate attacks on two police stations by Western Togoland secessionists a few days ago.
The Western Togoland on Friday mounted a roadblock in Juapong, a town in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The group further claimed to have captured 3 police personnel after attacking the Aveyime and Mepe Police Stations.
“We are seeking independence of our great motherland,” one of the separatists who failed to identify himself told Accra-based Joy FM.
However, reacting to the issue, Afia Pokuaa questioned why MP for North Tongu, Okudjeto Ablakwa is the only big shot in the NDC to react to the issue.
In a Facebook post, she wrote, “Apart from hon Ablakwa, how many NDC officials have condemned this secessionist attack on the sovereignty of the Republic of Ghana? Prez Mahama, we are waiting to hear from you”.
