About a month ago, Randon Lee, the son of TikTok star Ophelia Nichols, was shot and killed at a gas station in Prichard, Alabama.
The suspect in connection with the shooting and killing of 18-year-old Randon Lee, has been arrested and identified as Reuben Thomas Gulley.
Court documents indicated that Reuben Thomas Gulley Jr., 20, of Saraland, was booked late Thursday afternoon after turning himself in.
A warrant had been issued for his arrest on the murder charge Aug. 4.
Randon Lee, 18, died June 24 after being shot inside his car at a gas station on St. Stephens Road, according to Prichard Police Det. Jason Hadaway.
Hadaway said at the time that it appeared Lee was meeting people at the gas station to sell marijuana to them.
After he and two suspects pulled up at the gas station, one of them got into Lee’s car and shot him, Hadaway said.
The shooter then fled with other suspects. Lee drove to a different gas station where he died despite treatment from paramedics.
Hadaway said at the time that police “had a couple of suspects in mind.”
Lee’s mother is Ophelia Nichols, known as “Shoelover99″ on TikTok. She has gained an audience of millions drawn to her spirit of acceptance and affirmation.
She said her son was killed the day before his 19th birthday.
