Tyler Christie, a 26-year-old man, has been identified as the pilot killed after a plane crash in Lubbock Friday morning.
The crash happened shortly before noon near County Road 7300 and 2500, according to Lubbock TV station KRQE.
The plane, a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron 58, crashed shortly after takeoff from Lubbock Executive Airpark.
The Department of Public Safety revealed Tyler Christie was unable to exit the plane after it caught fire during the crash.
No one on the ground was hurt.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash.
