Tyemeshia Miller, a young woman in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, lost her life in a shooting on Monday.
19-year-old Tyemeshia Miller was shot around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of North Fourth and Woodbine Streets.
She was rushed to the hospital but died shortly after from the gunshot wound.
The Dauphin County coroner’s office ruled Miller’s death a homicide.
Sadly, the unborn baby boy she was carrying also perished due to complications arising from her death.
The baby’s death was classified as homicide as well.
The shooting occurred “within a matter of seconds,” as they heard multiple shots, and then people screaming.
Police didn’t describe any suspects or details about how or why the shooting occurred.
Miller’s death is the seventh homicide in the city this year. Her baby’s death is being counted as the eighth.
