Some elders of the Bechem traditional area ganged up at a shrine on 24th May to invoke curses on Twene Jonas after the social media critic disrespected their leader as well as the Ashanti King Nana Otumfuo Osei II over the current Galamsey crisis besieging the country.
These Bechem elders who had performed ritual sacrifices on top of the curses to end the life of Twene Jonas were captured in a video going viral on social media.
Dressed in their traditional wear and their Schnapps in hand, these elders left no stone unturned when they called unto their god to wreak havoc into the lives of some people backing the social media critic who is expected to be dead by the end of the year.
According to them, Jonas’s death or misery would serve as a deterrent for future generations to come.
Before this, an Ashtown boy who like these Bechem elders who also believes that the chiefs and lords of the country can not be insulted in the manner in which Twene Jonas did, poured libations, and invoked curses to kill the social media critic.
Many expected the repercussions of Twene Jonas’s disrespect to be a public backlash, however, from the look of things his insults to the traditional chiefs and the Ashanti King might cost him his life.
In a country that prides itself on respect for its leaders and Chiefs, some Ghanaians were surprised when Twene Jonas confidently insulted Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu that he is a fool for allowing illegal mining (Galamsey) to thrive in the Ashanti Region, however, now more are alarmed at the rate in which things are getting serious and lethal.
