Rudolph Acolatse, the CEO and founder of Tropix Charlotte has been shot and killed after a shooting in northwest Charlotte on Sunday night.
Rudolph Acolatse was 47 years old.
His friends said he was a father of two and an influential member of the community.
Some friends said Acolatse was generous, and he’d give a stranger the shoes off his feet.
What we know about NW Charlotte shooting
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department revealed that the homicide happened on Odum Avenue near Brookshire Boulevard and I-85.
Officers responded to the area around 11:30 p.m. Sunday and found the victim, Rudolph Acolstse, with a gunshot wound.
Medic pronounced Acolstse deceased at the scene, and CMPD is not looking for any other suspects at this time, they said.
Officials said Joseph was immediately taken into custody once they got to the crime scene. After speaking with detectives, he was transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, Charlotte Fire, and Medic also assisted in this homicide.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
