One man died in a fatal car crash on September 22.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a 2015 Freightliner Boxtruck was traveling southbound on Highway 63, just south of Renz Farm Road in Callaway County.
Around 7 a.m. on Sunday, Trevor Wheeler, 21, of Columbia, went off the right side of the roadway and down an embankment.
He crossed Renz Farm Rd. and overcorrected to travel back over the left side of the roadway where the tractor-trailer overturned.
Wheeler was pronounced dead at 7:47 a.m. on the scene by Callaway County EMS.
MSHP noted that he was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
