Tikisha King shot to death in a domestic violence attack by her boyfriend

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of Tikisha King, who was killed in a suspected domestic violence incident in southwest Houston on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred around 12:45 p.m. inside a liquor store on South Post Oak Road.

According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), an employee entered the store, located at 14370 South Post Oak Road, and found King unresponsive.

The worker quickly alerted the police, leading officers to the scene.

Police confirmed that surveillance cameras were installed in the liquor store.

Investigators are now reviewing the footage to gather more information about what happened and identify a potential suspect.

Family Claims Domestic Violence as Cause

Although police have not officially confirmed any details about the suspect, King’s family members have stated that the shooting was the result of a domestic violence attack by King’s boyfriend.

Ongoing Investigation and Search for Suspect

HPD officials have stated that they are actively searching for a suspect. At this time, however, they have not provided a description or revealed any further leads in the case.

Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward, especially if they may have seen anything suspicious near the store before or after the shooting.
