The victim of a fatal shooting that happened in Forrest County Tuesday, has been identified.
Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem has identified the victim as 49-year-old Thomas Everett.
According to the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home in the Glendale community after receiving reports of a man with a gunshot wound
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a deceased Everett at the scene.
Witnesses were able to provide information that led to the immediate identification and arrest of an unidentified suspect.
The body has been sent to Mississippi Forensics Laboratory in Biloxi for an autopsy. Klem says that the coroner’s office expects results to come back within a day.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
