A tragic incident has shaken the community of Williamsburg, New York City, as Theresa Gregg, a 37-year-old mother-of-two, was found stabbed to death in her own home.
The horrifying discovery was made by Gregg’s 12-year-old twin daughters on a Saturday morning, who immediately called 911 upon finding their mother unconscious in her bedroom.
The crime scene was gruesome, with stab wounds on her neck and torso, leaving bloodstains on the mattress and a pool of blood on the bedroom floor.

While the investigation is still ongoing, it is believed that the fatal incident stemmed from a violent argument involving Theresa Gregg and her partner, although as of Sunday evening police had not yet named a suspect.
Neighbors said Gregg, who had lived in the block for about six years, could often be heard arguing loudly with her boyfriend, with both parties raising their voices.
‘I could hear them fighting, both of them yelling. They fight a lot. You can hear it pretty clear,’ said one neighbor the New York Post. ‘I’m not sure how often they fought but it was a lot.’
On Sunday, neighbors remained in shock after hearing about the incident.
Johanna Hidalgo, a resident living in the same block said she was shocked and noted how kind and polite Gregg’s daughters werem whom she would regularly encounter.
