The Tecno Camon X and four other devices were officially unveiled at the recently held Tecno global spring launch held in Lagos Nigeria on the 5th of April 2018.

The Camon X is the latest addition to the Camon series and as usual boasts as a powerful selfie phone.

First and foremost, let’s have a look at the specifications of the Tecno Camon X before we go on to the unboxing.

Now that we’ve got the contents out of the box, lets delve on the physical features of the Camon X.

Upon peeling the sticker off, the front of the device gives way to a beautiful 2.5D curved glass on a 6-inch Full display 18:9 aspect ratio. At the top left spots a 20MP selfie camera and includes a 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with a MediaTek Helio P23 Processor.

The entire body has a non-removable plastic cover with a finger print scanner in the top middle and the 16mp rear camera situated at the top right.

At the back of the device is a see a transparent sticker with illustrations on how to insert the SD card and the SIM cards.


For the top border and  left border, the device is left blank whilst the bottom border is occupied with the speaker and micro phone grills, the USB type 2.0 port and the 3.5mm Audio Jack.

The right border has the volume and power buttons as well as the Nano SIM/micro SD card space.

So far so good, the Tecno Camon X feels good in the palm with its unbelievably light feel. It also runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3750mAh battery capacity, a pretty impressive specs for a budget smartphone and a much better choice in the budget phone range on the market.

The Camon X is available now in Ghana at all Tecno shops and accredited Phone shops nationwide for GHS 740.
