Music is evidently paying well for Ghanaian afro-pop singer Wendy Addo, best known in showbiz as Wendy Shay. Considering the number of A list shows she has played ever since she made an appearance into the music scene, her hit songs and all, it’s no doubt Wendy Shay is living her dream life.
In an interview monitored by ghlinks.com.gh on Zylofon Fm on Tuesday, the singer revealed the reason for her successful career.
The Uber Driver hit maker told Sammy Flex of Zylofon Fm that she has come far in her music career because she doesn’t have friends in Ghana and as such, doesn’t involve herself in a double lifestyle. “The funny thing is because I didn’t grow up here I don’t have friends in Ghana.”
Wendy Shay described having friends as a distraction because there might come a time when she would have to be in the studio recording but might also have to make it up to some friends, a situation she has done so well to avoid. “I wouldn’t have been where I am today if I had a lot of distraction.”
Describing how she makes up to herself when she wants to have fun, the songstress said she entertains herself when she steps out every day for studio sessions, interviews and performances.
