Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otokunor, says once they are elected, they will make sure Jean Mensah does not serve as chair of the Electoral Commission.
According to him, the EC’s boss is unworthy of occupying her position after the way she conducted the 2020 general elections.
He argues that, despite the scandal surrounding the 2020 elections, Jean Mensah remains the EC chair since President Akufo-Addo does not respect democracy.
He stated that just as the Akufo-Addo led government employed all means to sack Charlotte Osei when they grabbed power, the next NDC government will follow the same procedure to boot out Jean Mensah.
Peter Boamah Otokunor is a researcher, economist, economist policy specialist, astute politician, and economist who has worked for both the public and private sectors in Ghana.
Among his other roles in the NDC, he served on the Elections Directorate, the NDC Communication Team, the Government Communication Team, and the Forum for Setting the Record Straight.
