Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi has opened up in an interview for the first time since he was captured in the Anas number 12 expose by alleging that deceased journalist and member of Tiger PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale promised a top politician from a neighboring country that he and his team could make him president.

The former GFA boss made this revelation in a phone interview with Accra based Oman fm on Thursday.

Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi was captured in the video of Anas and his Tiger eye PI team taking bribe from a said Sheikh in the name of the Ghana Football Association. This forced the GFA boss to resign from his position and has since not come out publicly to grant an interview.

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, Mr. Nyantakyi disclosed that Ahmed met with him and the said top politician at Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra and made gave this assurance. “on our second meeting Ahmed met with me and a top politician from a neighbouring country- I wouldn’t want to disclose his name for now- at Golden Tulip. He promised he will make him win elections in his country.” He added that he had to spend a lot of money to arrange a meeting for the politician and Ahmed’s team only to be deceived. “they told him to meet the team at Dubai on a Tuesday but Ahmed’s phone was off on Monday evening prior to Tuesday. The politician decided to go to Dubai and meet him and I sponsored the trip for 5 days. They lodged at Buju Arab, the only 7 star hotel in Dubai. Their cost per day was $5000 for 5 days which was $25000 and their air ticket was $26000. Ahmed did not show up.”

Narrating how he got associated with the Tiger Eye PI, Mr Nyantakyi said the whole intention of the investigative piece was a plan to disgrace him. “The whole thing is a planned scheme to disgrace me”. He recounted that Ahmed, who led the said Sheikh to him was in a lot of wires and was being controlled by Anas from a different room and that he met with only Ahmed and the Sheikh. “Anas and his operatives set cameras and were monitoring everything in the room. Ahmed was just receiving calls and was being directed to ask questions but I wasn’t aware of all of that. He added that Anas has questions to answer for capturing him on camera in Dubai without his Knowledge, an act he described as criminal. “it is a criminal act to record people at Emirates without the person’s consent. It’s not like Ghana. One day Anas will have to come and explain to us why he recorded someone in Dubai which is against the country’s laws without the person’s knowledge”

The former GFA boss condemned the act of the Tiger Eye PI by saying they are in business to make money and ruin lives and are not doing their work for the love of the country. “The kind of work Anas does, they act like ISIS. You never meet them but at the end of the day, they claim responsibility for their act. Tiger Eye is a criminal organization. They don’t have license fr what they are doing”.
