A woman identified as Terri Huffman Reynolds lost her life after a fire broke out at a Valley Station home Monday morning, Metro Chief Arson Investigator Maj.

Crews with the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District responded to a fire in the 5100 block of Stephan Drive just after 3 a.m., PRP Fire Chief Jason Meiman said.

Firefighters found heavy fire on the first floor of the home and fire on the second floor.

Terri Huffman Reynolds, believed to be the only person in the home at the time of the fire, was rescued by firefighters and taken to the University of Louisville Hospital where she later died, Meiman said.
