Tawanda Barron has been identified as the ex- wife of Mavis Christian.
Tawanda was among the four victims he fatally shot.
Court documents obtained by fox13memphis showed a domestic dispute which took place at the home on Howard Drive back in 2018.
Records show Mavis Christian accused of punching his ex-wife several time during an argument.
Documents show when the couple’s children tried to intervene to defend their mother, the suspect grabbed a bat out of one of their hands and started beating his ex-wife in the head with the bat.

She attended Central High School and graduated in 1995.

What happened
According to MPD, officers responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Howard Drive at 9:22 p.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found one female with a gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
MPD responded to the first of the shootings at 5:43 p.m. Saturday and found three females shot, two fatally and one critically, at 3636 Field Lark Drive.
Officers arrived at the second scene at 6:40 p.m. where another female was shot at 5050 Warrington Road. .
Police identified Christian and said he was reportedly driving a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with a Tennessee license plate numbered 390-BHTM.
This was the car he was later found in.
According to court records, Christian’s criminal record dates back to a 1996 charge of aggravated assault.
Most recently, he faced charges in 2018 of felony domestic violence, aggravated assault, theft and vandalism.
Additionally, he was arrested in 2007 for attempted second degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault, all of which were dropped.
