Award-winning broadcaster, Kwame Sefa Kayi, popularly known as Chairman General has called on the Ghana Police Service to revoke the license of dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy because he isn’t emotionally stable to possess a gun.
Kwame Sefa Kayi’s comments come after the shameful incident which occurred at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards of which he was a Master of Ceremony.
At the VGMAs this Saturday, Stonebwoy drew out his fire arm after fans of arch rival Shatta Wale took to the stage when he was receiving an award for Reggae/dancehall act of the year. This act brought a halt to the program for several minutes and affected the whole success of the show.
In an instagram video sited by ghlinks.com.gh, the broadcaster said allowing Stonebwoy to possess the gun is wrong since he has more than once drawn it out in public. He called on the police to revoke the license. “The police should revoke Stonebwoy from carrying a licensed gun. I’ve heard that this is not the first time he has pulled out a gun in public. He doesn’t have the emotional stability or balance to be a gun owner”.
Kwame Sefa Kayi also suggested that the two artistes must be locked up in police custody, made to face the law and sign a bond of good behavior. He added that should any of the two parties fail to go according the bond, he should be made to face jail term, adding that it would bring sanity among the two.
