Police have charged Tyika Lashon Johnson, 37, with murder after the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, Stefan Winston Jr., 44.

Garner police have charged a 37-year-old woman with murder following a fatal domestic shooting on Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to a reported shooting in the 2000 block of Isner Lane shortly before 10 p.m., according to a police statement. Upon arrival, officers found 44-year-old Stefan Winston Jr. dead at the scene.

Tyika Lashon Johnson has been accused of shooting and killing Winston.

Police believe the incident was an isolated domestic dispute but have not disclosed details about what led to the shooting.
