Some Respected Ghanaian Personalities Called To Applaud Me For Taking Off My Panty Online – Xandy Kamel

Xandy Kamel (pronounced as Zandi Camel) is a Ghanaian-Lebanese Kumawood actress, who even though is a new face on the movie scene, is no stranger to controversy.

Some of her infamous controversies include her feud with co actress, Benedicta Gafah. Most recently, she has been in the news for taking off her panty live, on Kofi TV.

As the daughter of late Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, Hon. Henry Ford Kofi Kamel, one would likely be quick to assume that she’s sorted out financially because of the wealth he must have amassed prior to his death.

In an interview by Delores Frimpong Manso (Delay) on The Delay Show, she revealed that her father died intestate (without making a will), which caused some tension, clashes and discomfort to her family. However, some friends of her late father still help them.

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the interview probed further into the actress’ life. Prior to acting, Xandy attended catering school and wrote exams for City and Guilds U.K. After, she operated a fast food joint she opened in front of her family house in Spintex; she sold fried rice, and Indomie. Knowing how much she admired Immigration officers’ uniform, she did the needful and got into Immigration and worked for a year or two, before her father’s demise. Her acting career started shortly after.

In addressing the feud between her and Bendicta Gafah, Xandy stated that initially, she had no cause to bad mouth Benedicta, who once took her under her wing and provided shelter. However, Xandy decided otherwise when she found out that her name was being dragged in the mud.

Xandy further addressed her controversial appearance on Kofi TV where she took off her panty on live TV and said it was not pre-meditated; rather, it was done in the spur of the moment to further a cause. She added that “After the incident, some respected Ghanaian personalities called to applaud me for taking off my panty after watching the full interview”.

When asked whether she has a problem with Rosemond Brown and Gloria Safo, she answered in the affirmative, while alluding to she and Rosemond acting in a comedic manner.
