Shatta Wale Was A Gong-gong Beater In ‘By The Fire Side’ – Maame Dokono Reveals #iamghlinks

Veteran actress, Grace Omaboe, known in showbiz as Maame Dokono has revealed that Dancehall king, Shatta Wale was once upon a time, a gong gong beater on By the Fireside.

According to her, Shatta Wale was one of the numerous persons she has helped in the country.

“Shatta Wale was a gong gong beater on the By the Fireside…he’s one of the numerous persons I have helped…,” she revealed.

Maame Dokono boasted in an interview with Micky Osei-Berko, known in Showbiz as Master Richard or Dada Boat that Shatta Wale was among the numerous persons who passed through her hands before becoming a star.

Maame also revealed that she made sure the Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan, and his brother, Baffour Gyan appear on the programme which was sponsored the 31st December Women’s Movement in the 90’s.

Shatta Wale entered the music scene as Bandana, producing the hit song, Bandana from Ghana before going into hibernation.

He resurfaced later with the stage ‘Shatta Wale’ and has since enjoyed great success in the music industry.
