Ten beautiful and eloquent ladies auditioned across the country, were officially unveiled Sunday to battle each other for the coveted 2018 Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) crown within the next 13 weeks.

Gorgeously dressed in nicely-designed African prints, each of the contestants representing the 10 regions, were introduced to hundreds of people at the Takoradi Jubilee Park amidst drumming and dancing to rhythms peculiar their regions.

Their introduction, marks the beginning of the 12th edition of the GMB organized by the leading free-to-air private television in the country, TV3, which is the flagship of Media General’s media conglomerate.

The ceremony was marked by display of beautiful Ghanaian culture.

Ghana’s Most Beautiful has over the years presented an opportunity for young ladies across the country to showcase their respective cultures through weekly live presentations on Ghana’s culture, tourism and developmental issues among others.

GMB also gives contestants an opportunity to emerge as change makers within society through the initiation of various social projects.

Traditional leaders, past contestants of GMB among many other dignitaries graced the occasion.

Most of the patrons, especially the traditional rulers were dressed in the beautiful Ghanaian kente and other indigenous fabrics.

The 2017 GMB winner, Zeinab, urged the contestants to remain committed throughout the competition despite any challenge they may encounter.

Marketing Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Roberta Dawson Amoah said the Authority is excited to partner GMB 2018 in projecting the Ghanaian culture.
