Award-winning broadcaster, Kwame Sefa Kayi has showered praises on dancehall musician Samini and has described him as a matured musician.
Kwame Sefa Kayi’s praises comes after the dancehall musician delivered a spectacular performance after the unfortunate incident which occurred at the 20TH Vodafone Music Awards involving Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy which brought chaos and a halt to the program.
In an interview with Utv on Tuesday, the broadcaster described Samini as a matured musician who understands his professional role in the music industry. He explained that aside his personal sentiments, there’s no news of Samini involving himself in any misconducts since he surfaced in the music scene some 2 decades ago. “In his entire music career, what has he done wrong? He is human and might fall short but generally he has carried himself well”, he said.
The ace broadcaster revealed that even though Samini was billed to perform, he wasn’t supposed to perform at the time he did. He explained that after the incident occurred, they had to brainstorm backstage as to who could bring back the fun and excitement with which the program started. He added that at a point in time, someone suggested Diana Hamilton but they had to settle on using Samini.
Fortunately for them, he was the right person for the moment.
