Roneisha Truvillion: How 29-year-old woman was shot & killed while trying to stop car burglary on Spanish Town Road

A 29-year-old woman died Tuesday night after she was shot as she tried to stop a vehicle burglary, Baton Rouge police said.

Roneisha Truvillion and a family member had tried to stop a burglary in process at about 10:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Spanish Town Road, when the suspects started firing at her, police said.

Truvillion was transported to the hospital, where she died of her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, police said in a news release.
