Rocky Dawuni has called on Ghanaian musicians to use their creativity in music to portray positivity of Ghana to the rest of the world.
The musician believes that this act will go a long way to sell Ghana to the rest of the world than it already is.
Rocky Dawuni in an interview with Radio Central was addressing the high rate of beefs in the music industry which many believe is appalling and creates a bad image about the Ghana music industry.
For some weeks now, the Ghana music industry has seen a fair share of beefs among Ghanaian musician, notable are Sarkodie and Asem, Eno Barony and rapper Medikal, Freda Rhymes and Sista Afia, just to mention but a few.
According to the one time Grammy Award nominee, it’s a very wrong move by musicians which dent the image of Ghana music. He added that if the aim is to create attention, it also sends a wrong message to the upcoming generation of musicians and a good picture of the music industry must rather be created.
“It is a waste of time, let’s allow our creative works to portray positivity about Ghana to the world. We don’t need to create a wrong impression among the youth that in music you need to fight and be against each other in order to get attention, it’s a wrong move,” he said.
