The Hamilton County coroner has identified the man who died after being hit on I-75 early Sunday morning.
According to the coroner, the victim was Reco Williams, 47, of Cincinnati.
Police said that the man and another woman were on the side of the interstate examining their disabled 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, which they had been traveling in.
The car was stationed on the right shoulder of the highway.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old male driver was headed north on I-75 when he says he lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the right side of the roadway, hitting the man.
The crash is believed to have happened just before 1:30 a.m.
The man, who was not named by police, was transported by the Cincinnati Fire Department to the University Hospital Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No one else was injured in the crash.
