Rapperholic Concert Review : Sarkodie makes history at RapperHolic concert 2015
This review is strictly based only on Performance.
Security, Sound quality, Stage, and Light were on point, thanks to Hammer, George Britton, Bulldog, Stip of Solid Multimedia, and the SarkCess team.
Review
History was made on Friday night, December 25, 2015, as one of Africa’s biggest music star Sarkodie, performed together with over 7 artistes at the fifth edition of the annual rapper holic concert.
Even though there was an overwhelming number of gigs lined up for the past week – including the controversial Citi FM December to Remember, Ovation Red Carol, Anniversary Movie Premiere, MTN Carols Night, and many more.
The events lined up during the week did not damper Sarkodie’s Rapper Holic which witnessed a bumper crowd.
The spacious venue at the rapperholic concert – organized SarkCess Music in conjunction with A-Team production – was packed with revelers.
Before the ”Hand to Mouth ” rapper could perform, supporting acts including Donzy, Episode, Rudeboi ranking, Ghana’s most Untouchable disc jockey, DJ Mensah took on the turntables whiles host of the night DKB kept the crowd captivated.
However, nothing could have topped seeing the legend Reggie Rockstone with his VVIP team strut their stuff to keep the energy of the crowd at an all-time high as they performed Dogo Yaro, Skolom, and other hits that proved so infectious that people couldn’t stay still.
Another stand outperformance of the night were the #Skillteam, Keche. They he took to the stage with hit tracks such as, Fine Boy, Diabetes etc. the audience could not contain themselves.
As if that wasn’t enough, comedian DKB did a great job of keeping the crowd excited in between sets with great banter as he ushered in various artiste to deliver what they were made off.
Another exciting moment was the presence of EL, Lil Shaker, Joey B and Pappy Kojo who joined to support the Rapper Holic concert with spectacular performances.
The man of the night, Sarkodie took to the stage at midnight and presented an energetic performance attracting wild sing-along-songs and enthralling dances for each hit he sang emphatically proving his undoubted success in the world.
Sarkodie got the crowd hyped up just to the right manner when he invited Efya on stage to perform ‘Jorley‘, the crowd roared even more in excitement.
After performing Jorley, Mr Eazi joined Efya for their duet ”Skin Tights” and later performed his hit banger Bankulize.
The 30 year old rapper later ushered in top notch act such as R2Bee’s, Fuse ODG, Samini , Ofori Amponsah ,Jupiter and Akwaboah on stage one after the other to perform with them.
Also worth mentioning is the special guest appearance of the night, which was Ojuelegba hitmaker,Wizkid. He assisted Tema based talented duo R2Bee’s on their hit “Slow Down” and did the same with Sarkodie on “Ojuelegba.”(Sarkodie’s version).
The well-organised event left the crowd begging for more until Kakai hit maker, Shatta Wale hit the stage with a scooter to perform with Sarkodie their collaborative effort M3gye wo girl”.
In terms of audience reaction, all the artist billed for the 5th edition of the concert stole the night.
