As Ghanaians continue to come to terms with the shocking demise of the first President of the fourth Republic, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, it has emerged that the former military ruler died of COVID-19.

The former President, and founder of the National Democratic Congress passed away on Thursday, 12th November at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital at the age of 73.

Local TV Station, Ghone reports that the charismatic leader died of COVID-19.
