The Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service by order of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has arrested Elizabeth Togbor who goes by the name Mama Gee for selling unapproved sex enhancement drugs and charms to ladies.
Her arrest was made on Wednesday, 10th July, 2019.
Some few days ago, a video went viral in which a huge number of ladies queued at a shop rushing for some drugs and charms which they can use on their men to persuade them into doing stuff out of the ordinary for them. The said video obviously raised eyebrows in the society.
The FDA upon chancing on the video issued the arrest of Mama Gee, the lady behind the sale of these products and she was picked up by the police at her shop in Accra by the CID of the Ghana Police Service.
In a statement signed by Mrs. Delasie A. A Darko, Chief Executive Officer of the FDA, she said the said drugs were not registered by the Authority and therefore they saw the need to arrest Mama Gee so she assists in investigations. She further asked the general public to provide any necessary piece of information that can assist Police with investigations.
