Police Administration Sanctions 5 Female Police Officers For Improper Social Media Appearance

The Police Administration has sanctioned five female police women stationed in the Ahafo Region for displaying a sexy outlook with police berets on social media.

The five are Diana Kumi, Lydia Adu, Agnes Kyere, Winifred Aboagyewaa and Barbara Botchway.

They were seen in a viral video on social media, in which they were wearing their beret without permission and some black and white tube outfits, with full make up on.

In the video, they chanted a number police “gyama” songs with what could be described as a deliberate sexy look.

Many have described the video as a deliberate attempt on the part of the ladies to make the police look sexy and attractive, and that would not be the first time a Ghanaian female police office has put up an out of the norm attractive look on social media.

But the police administration does not seem amused by the video and have therefore apply very severe sanctions on the five ladies.

For the punishment, the five have been sent back to the Police Training School in Pwalugu for eight weeks to go and refamiliarize themselves with the ethics of their profession.

Throughout these weeks, they will be feeding themselves and will be enlightened on SI 48, 87, 88, 91, which are the Police Uniform Code, Police Code of Ethics and the ramifications of the use of social media.

While in the Police Training School, the five will be expected to perform their regular police duties alongside their special retraining.

After their eight weeks of training, the Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service is expected to be furnished with a training assessment report.
