Ghanaian rapper, Pappy Kojo is crying for immediate help amid the high rate of Coronavirus cases in Italy.
Pappy Kojo says he is stuck in Italy after thousands of people were infected with the virus.
The European country is one of the most affected countries in the world with thousands of cases recorded.
The death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in Italy leapt by 627 on Friday March 20, 2020 to 4,032 – an increase of 18.4 percent, which is the largest daily rise in absolute terms since the contagion emerged a month ago.
In the face of this, the rapper has pleaded with government to come to his aid and evacuate him from the country back to Ghana.
The artiste stressed that his life is in danger but government has paid no attention to him.
“I’m not safe, I live just across a busy street and people keep using that road every minute which is not safe for me, I’ve been calling out to the government [President Akufo-Addo and his ministers] yet no response, I’m a Ghanaian and I’ve done a lot for this country in terms of creative arts”, he said on 3FM in an interview with MzGee.
Pappy Kojo who is in self-isolation also revealed that he is running out of food.
“Sincerely I’m not safe, I have something to feed on now but I’m afraid I might soon run out of food.”
The death toll from the new coronavirus has surpassed 5,000 in Europe – the new epicentre of the pandemic – as Italy, Germany and Spain reported a steep rise in infections.
