Wonder club Accra great Olympics have re-signed veteran Ghana Premier league striker Emmanuel Clottey ahead of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.
The deal was announced on the club’s twitter page on Wednesday as Olympics have moved to secure the services of their former striker, Emmanuel Clottey .
Emmanuel Clottey, who has been capped by Ghana, enjoyed a good and fruitful spell at Olympics as a 19 year old where he finished the 2006/2007 season as topscorer in the Ghana premier league.
Clottey began his career at Olympics in 2004 and spent 5 years there with a loan move to join Wacker Innsbruck of Austria in between.
After stints with Tema Youth and Sekondi Eleven Wise, he joined Berekum Chelsea, where he experienced arguably his best form in Ghana football.
He won the Ghana Premier League with the Bono club and qualified the club for the CAF Champions League where he finished as top scorer of the 2012 edition of the competition.
It was this period where he got his maiden call up for the Black Stars and featured on times between 2010 and 2012.
His impressive form led to interest from top clubs outside Ghana and Esperance eventually secured his signature.
Clottey returned to Ghana in 2015 and signed for Kotoko but has been unattached since 2017.
He has now rejoined Olympics with the aim of reviving his career and pushing the club to greater heights upon their return to the Ghana Premier league.
