Okyeame Kwame is set to take legal actions against Gyedu-Blay Ambolley over derogatory comments the latter made about him, the general manager of Accra FM, Kojo Preko Dankwa has revealed.
The veteran highlife artiste had accused Okyeame Kwame and a few others of unduly benefiting from GHc2 million given to the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) by government.
The accused gave Ambolley a 72-hour ultimatum, which expired on 29th February 2020, to either retract the comment and apologise in that same fashion or face him in court.
Ambolley after the 72 hours, however, dared Okyeame Kwame to sue him in court.
Speaking in an interview with Dr Cann on Happy FM, Kojo Preko hinted a writ of summons will be served to Ambolley by next week.
He deemed it necessary for the veteran musician, Gyedu-Blay to give evidence to the court about the allegations he made.
Mr Preko Dankwa said he is happy about Okyeame Kwame’s decision to seek court redress.
He believes this will help streamline the conversation of people and deter them from making statements without evidence.
