Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has revealed that the MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa was part of the meeting that approved finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta by consensus.
Okudzeto Ablakwa tendered in his resignation to the Speaker of Parliament yesterday, resigning from the appointments committee citing personal reasons.
Many have linked Okudzeto’s resignation to the approval by consensus of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.
However, Mr Afenyo-Markin believes that his counterpart’s resignation has nothing to do with the approval of Ken Ofori Atta.
According to the MP for Effutu, Mr Okudzeto took part in the meeting that approved Mr Ofori Atta by consensus, and he did not raise any objections to the decision.
