Actress turned singer Emelia Brobbey has disclosed that C.E.O of Slip Entertainment and Programs Manager of Hitz FM, Mark Okraku Mantey advised her to release more songs.
She said the astute music producer encouraged her to continue her musical career despite heavy trolls from the public.
”People who were pros and gurus in the music industry like Okraku Mantey who said there was nothing wrong with my first single. Musically, a lot of people were coming in and saying I’ve done well”
”And there were those who were heavily criticizing me too. But I realized no matter what you do, you need someone to direct you and those who will criticize you”, she said on TV3.
Emelia Brobbery however admitted that she did not seek counsel from the industry’s heavy weights before releasing her debut song.
Emelia Brobbey had her fair share of trolls after releasing her debut single titled ‘Fa Me Ko’.
Some social media users claimed that the artiste’s voice on the song was terrible.
On January, 22, 2020, Emelia Brobbey released her second song titled ‘Odo Electric’ featuirng Wendy Shay.
While some have praised her for the improvement in her vocal delivery, others feel her voice was worked on and sounds artificial.
